Haukkavuoren Haltiat is a scout troop for anyone from age 7 and up. We have over one hundred members from all over the Espoonlahti-region (Hannus, Soukka, Suvisaaristo, Kaitaa, Iivisniemi, Espoonlahti and Laurinlahti). From this page you find more information from us in English.
Questions? Please don’t hesitate to ask from our scout troop’s leader Iida Toivanen (iida.toivanen(at)partio.fi).
Who are we?
We are a bunch of energetic people who practice scouting skills – not forgetting the fun! With the young ones learning happens through games and playing. The older scouts get to challenge themselves and get new, great experiences.
We find it important that every one is accepted as they are, and we do not accept bullying of any kind. We value nature and find it important that living in the city doesn’t mean that the nature is forgotten. This is why we go to the forest several times a year.
What do we do?
The weekly meetings are the most important part of our activities. We also arrange different day- and over night trips.
Scouting is based on volunteering. Our group leaders are volunteers, who don’t get paid. We give youngsters a chance to participate in high quality meetings for a very low charge.
Why scouting?
Scouting gives a lot to ones life. Scouting gives skills for normal, everyday life.
Participating in scouting is also an easy and a great way to learn the language and make new friends!
